Poole Bay Beach Management Scheme Groyne Building Programme 2025-2027

Tender description

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) seek tenders for the procurement of a groyne building contractor for the next phase of groyne replacement on the beach in Poole Bay, as part of next planned stage of works part of the continuing programme of work for the Poole Bay Coastal Defence Scheme. The successful bidder will be required to for the replacement of 7 (seven) existing timber beach control structures with 7 (seven) new timber beach control structures, timber to be supplied by Client over a two-year period as shown below: • Year 1 (6 October 2025 to 29 March 2026) Replacement of 4 (four) existing timber beach control structures with 4 (four) new timber beach control structures, timber to be supplied by Client. • Year 2 (5 October 2026 to 21 March 2027) Replacement of 3 (three) existing timber beach control structures with 3 (three) new timber beach control structures, timber to be supplied by Client.
