Tender description

The Councils have secured Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme Grant funding from the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy to enable them to install Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Photovoltaic Cells and to carry out all other required and associated works at the centres. These projects will allow the councils to reduce their sites emissions and therefore the centres footprints, in line with the latest Governments CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme directives to negate or reduce carbon emissions by the year 2035. The requirement is for project management of 3 sites to install Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV cells and associated work Lot 1: Lot 1 is for the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Cells at the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre in Abingdon. The requirement is to install Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV Cells on the large roof area of the centre to help meet the council/s carbon reduction strategies of 2030 for South Oxfordshire District Council and 2035 for the Vale of White Horse District Council. Lot 2: Lot 2 is for the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Cells, and associated roof and cladding insulation works at Wantage Leisure Centre. The requirement is to install Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV Cells on the swimming pool roof. Install external wall insulation, replacement of swimming pool roof and upgrade of leisure centre glazing. This will contribute to help meet the council/s carbon reduction strategies of 2030 for South Oxfordshire District Council and 2035 for the Vale of White Horse District Council. Lot 3: Lot 3 is for the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Cells and associated upgrade of heat emitters and distribution pipework at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot. The requirement is to install Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV Cells on the roof area of the centre and all associated upgrades to emitters and pipework, to help meet the council/s carbon reduction strategies of 2030 for South Oxfordshire District Council
