Prior Information Notice - Goldthorpe Housing Project (Phase 2a & 2b New Build and external public realm works)

Tender description

The purpose of the event is to: • Engage with the Contractor market prior to any procurement activity. The Council is seeking to tender to appoint a Contractor to work on a housing scheme of 9 properties. The new homes will be built to an energy efficient specification, will be wholly electric and have been designed to respond to the Council's Zero 40/45 Strategy and Climate Emergency Declaration. The proposed plans include a mix of properties for social rent. • 2 x 2 bed semi-detached bungalows • 1 x 2 bed detached bungalow • 4 x 2 bed semi-detached houses • 2 x 3 bed detached houses The build specification is a traditional build method to the Council's low carbon build specification. The specification exceeds the current building regulation requirements for thermal energy efficiency through a fabric first approach. The properties will have high levels of insulation, air source heat pumps, storage batteries and solar PV panels.
