Repair and Restoration of Cannon Hall Roof - Phase 1

Tender description

The Council is looking to appoint a Contractor for delivery of the following works. This project, phase 1 of a wider programme of works, seeks to protect the collections in the museum by replacing the roof over the central area of the museum which contains most of the collections. Scope of the works will also include options for repairs to other roof areas, as well as associated works. Works will include, but not be limited to, the following: • Strip the applicable roof areas of the previous defective material • Investigate and remove any rot caused by the damp ingress • Repair truss and wall plates • Repair the roof covering with a higher quality longer lasting material more in line with the original buildings age
