Tender description

The "Folkestone - A Brighter Future" scheme seeks to 'level up' Folkestone's town centre by supporting active travel, creating a high-quality environment that supports civic pride and reverses years of disparity in investment by transforming the fortunes of the towns primary retail areas. The requirement of this contract of works is to design and manufacture the superstructure of a pedestrian footbridge to connect Guildhall Street North to Shellons Street. A footbridge is proposed to link Guildhall Street North and Shellons Street more-directly near the location of its pedestrian crossing, to re-establish the link which was severed by the construction of the A2033 link (Foresters Way and Shellons Street).
