Physical Archive Inventory Management System

Tender description

The BBC are looking to procure a Software as a Service offering, providing an industry standard and compliant Inventory Management capability for our physical archive. BBC Archives Technology & Services manages one of the world's largest multimedia archives. This is a working collection of content and information that includes BBC Television and Radio output, images, documents & heritage artefacts. As a key enabler for this, the BBC wishes to procure a system that can manage the accessioning & inventory of physical assets held in the archive and can enable the creation of a catalogue of items – particularly physical archival documents – compliant with current professional standards. Should you choose to respond to this RFI, the BBC will take on board all other responses to the RFI when shaping any future procurement activity. Responding to this RFI is not a prerequisite for participation in a subsequent procurement, nor does it give any advantage in that procurement. The BBC would welcome responses to this RFI in order that the BBC can build an understanding regarding the current and future provision of the business need.
