Tender description
The proposed energy upgrade works include the following: • Internal dry lining – removal of the existing non-breathable dry lining and replacement with specialist breathable internal dry lining system to achieve a U-value of 0.36 W/m²K. • Windows and doors to be replaced. Windows to achieve 0.7 W/m²K and doors to achieve 1.4 W/m²K. • Improved air tightness to achieve target of approx. 5 m3/ (h.m2) @50Pa through improved air tightness at junctions, penetrations, etc. and as part of installation of new windows, doors and dry lining system. • Ceiling insulation to both flat and sloped areas to U-value of 0.16 W/m²K. • Heating system upgrade to Air Source Heat Pump and associated distribution pipework and radiators • Installation of Solar PV panels to roof • Lighting upgrade to include LEDs and energy efficient controls. Fabric Upgrade Works: • Installation of drainage to the perimeter of the building to drain water away from the external walls. An injected DPC is not recommended for solid masonry buildings. • Installation of radon sumps to TGD C guidelines. • Floor finishes to be replaced throughout • Fire compartmentation between non-domestic Garda Station and domestic Married Quarters to be completed to include fire rated ceiling, walls, doors and service penetrations. • External hardscaping and drainage to include; new tarmacadam finish and new concrete footpaths. • External painting.
