The Museum of Two Halves Project, Wrexham – Exhibition Fit-Out

Tender description

Following the completion of the construction base-build works, the Exhibition Fit-Out Contractor will be responsible for the construction and installation of all setworks, specialist joinery items, props and physical interactives. Installation of data cables and purchase and installation/commissioning of AV hardware including programming and commissioning of show-control; media will be provided and commissioned by others. The Exhibition Fit-Out contractor will also be responsible for Artworking, production and installation of graphics, and the purchase and installation of exhibition lighting. The fit-out contractor will also be responsible for liaising and fully coordinated construction drawings with the display case and AV software contractors. The exhibition fit-out works will focus on the following areas of the museum building: Welcome & Shop (G.01 & G.02); the Central Court and mezzanine (G17, G.35 & 1.07); Guard Room (G.36)l; the Football Museum galleries (1.01 & 1.22) and the Wrexham Museum galleries ( 1.02, 1.04.105,1.06, 1.10, 1.11 & 1.41) (For room locations – see attached drawings) Lot 1: Wrexham County Borough Council is publishing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) to give forward notice to the market of an upcoming works contract opportunity. The council wish to appoint a contractor to complete the Exhibition Fit-Out Package for the transformation of the Grade II Listed Wrexham Museum building and site into the new joint Football Museum for Wales and Wrexham Museum. It is desirable that the organisation also has experience of delivering projects within Listed buildings located in conservation areas. Tenders will be conducted using a single stage open procedure process, which will include an Invitation to Tender (ITT) with Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ).
