The purpose of this research study to provide data to inform the ongoing development of our strategic framework for electric vehicle (EV) adoption and charging infrastructure development in Scotland. The Electric Vehicle landscape is rapidly evolving, with extended range, and new refuelling/recharging patterns of behaviour emerging for Electric Vehicle owners and operators. It is important that policymakers are provided with data-driven insights and recommendations to respond to these changes. Transport Scotland’s ambition is to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles while addressing diverse stakeholder needs and ensuring a sustainable and inclusive future for EV charging in Scotland.
