The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a developer partner to help deliver the regeneration of Harriot, Apsley & Pattison Houses (HAP) and transform this part of Stepney. There is an acute lack of affordable housing in Tower Hamlets and the Council is taking a proactive approach to address this using a range of different routes. This scheme is a key component of that strategy. The HAP Regeneration scheme has been identified as a priority site in the council’s new homes programme and includes the phased demolition of all of the existing buildings and homes on the site. The proposed design will deliver 407 new homes, including 70 replacement homes for families within the existing estate. The project will also deliver a replacement community building, in exchange for the facility being demolished to make way for the new estate. Keywords: Construction work
