Tender description

The kitchen LV system is no longer fit for purpose and does not comply with the latest 18th edition IET wiring regulations, SHTM06-01 or with SHTM06-02 which all health boards are required to comply with. The proposed works seek to bring the electrical installation within the scope up to current aforementioned standards. The works include but are not limited to installation of new sub-mains cabling and appropriate containment; and the provision and installation of CDP elements (for further details see section 7 of this report). Further works required are detailed within the Electrical Technical Specification included withing the tender documentation. The procurement was conducted by call off by mini competition from Lot 20 of framework NP827-15 Minor Works. The award criteria for the mini competition was 60% technical and 40% price. The successful contractor was the one who achieved the highest combined quality / price score.
