EDED2206-BynRh - Ysgol Betws yn Rhos, Kitchen Refurbishment and New Extension

Tender description

The kitchen is a small separate flat roofed building from the main school which will be completely stripped out and will have an extension added to create a store and staff office/changing space including a toilet. The building will be clad in external wall insulation, new insulated roof coverings and there will be new surface finishes and sanitaryware throughout. Grant funding has been provided by the Welsh Government in relation to providing free school meals to all children of primary school age, a portion of which will be utilised for this project. The following works are proposed: • Undertake Pre-demolition asbestos survey and infestation • Complete strip out of all finishes, sanitaryware and removal of roof • New roof system • Remedial works to existing kitchen brick building – single storey • Construction of new external walls • Internal wall insulation system • New safety glazed UPVC windows • New UPVC and timber doors • Full kitchen installation comprising of new equipment, surface finishes & ventilation systems • New suspended ceiling system and insulation • Full electrical upgrade including new lighting • Underground drainage works • New heating system Full details of the works are contained in Volumes 1 – 4.
