Carpet tiles replacement in British Consulate General in Milan

Replacement of the carpet tiles at the BCG Milan office. The existing carpet tiles were laid between 15-20 years ago and are at end of the life cycle. In addition, the post undertook a chemical analysis following allergic reactions from some staff members in rooms where carpet tiles were present. The chemical analysis revealed a strong presence of contaminants in the sample material. This evidence, along with the general principle laid down in Title II of the Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008, which establishes that the employer has the duty to make sure that the workplace is maintained to adequate standards of hygiene, suggests that the existent carpet should be replaced.
