Tender description

Multi-Party Framework Agreement for Works Contractors in relation to non-residential projects, including cultural, recreational and community services with an estimated value in excess of €5,000,000 with an initial contract for the Rutland Street School Redevelopment and Refurbishment Project. It is intended that the Framework Agreement will be established on foot of tender competition for an initial contract for the Rutland Street School Redevelopment and Refurbishment Project. The Rutland Street School dates from c. 1910 and is a steel frame building with solid external brick walls. The existing school building is c. 3,000 sqm on four floor plus an attic plant area. The project includes the construction of a new semi-basement youth services wing of c. 300 sqm. The project involves the complete renovation of the existing building including all new building and site services, renovated timber windows, renovated and new slate roofing, brick renovations, new brick walling, renovated and new timber flooring, fireproofing (both encasement and intumescent coating) to the steel frame, renovation plasterwork and moulding, renovated and new railings, terrazzo flooring, extensive metal stud walling and ceilings systems, substantial landscaping - soft and hard, fair faced concrete works, extensive internal balustrading, internal joinery and steel work to demanding tolerances and temporary works arrangements, underpinning and demolition works requiring competent and skilled temporary works designers. Also included in the Works is the redevelopment of the public realm on Rutland Street in front of the building including the public road and footpath on the opposite side of the road.
