Market Briefing relating upcoming Connecting Ireland Public Bus Services Tender Competitions

The National Transport Authority intends to conduct a market briefing to inform potential tenderers and small commercial bus operators of the process relating to upcoming tender competitions to be published by the Authority and likely to be of interest to any operator currently providing public transport bus services in Ireland or who is considering entering the market. Lot 1: Connecting Ireland is a major public transport initiative developed by the National Transport Authority with the aim of increasing connectivity, particularly for people living outside our major cities and towns. The plan aims to improve mobility in rural areas, and it will do this by providing better connections between villages and towns by linking these areas with an enhanced regional network connecting cities and regional centres nationwide. It is expected that private sector operators will be procured to provide many of these new services. This market briefing will provide potential tenderers with more information on the tendering process. The market briefing will be conducted virtually and interest parties should declare their interest in attending to procurement@nationaltransport.ie before Thursday 2nd March at 4:00PM. The market briefing will be conducted virtually on Monday the 6th of March from 10:30 until 12:00. Further details including a link to attend virtually will be issued prior to the event to registered interested parties.
