Irish Wheelchair Association is Ireland’s leading organisation for people with physical disabilities. We provide a nationwide assisted living service, community resource and outreach services, a fleet of accessible buses, a national parking permit and driving school service, wheelchair accessible social houses and help young people with disabilities to build employability skills and confidence. Claddagh Court is an IWA community centre and outreach service on College Road in the heart of Kilkenny City. It requires extensive electrical and fire proofing upgrades in accordance with the latest fire safety standards and optimise the services at this location for the future. Tenders are now sought on the upgrade works of the centre. Scope of Works: The scope of works is detailed in the accompanying drawings & specification. These include in brief: 1. Electrical Upgrade works including: • New distribution board installation • New containment installation • General services rewiring • Lighting rewiring • Replacement of light fittings • Replacement of emergency lighting fittings and additional fittings • Comms wiring installation • Installation of ducts for ceiling mounted fans • Firestopping of ceiling openings 2. Fire Proofing Upgrade works including: • Roof works • Internal party walls • Internal partition walls • Ceilings • Finishes • Fire Doors • External walls • Attic Void Subdivision • Scaffolding 3.
