North Lanarkshire Council wish to appoint a competent and qualified contractor for the provision of a Measured Term Contract for Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Services for Domestic and Non-Domestic Properties 2023-2025, at various locations within the geographical boundaries of North Lanarkshire. - This procurement exercise is being carried out as two lots consisting of: . Lot 1: Corporate Properties (Non-Domestic) and Lot 2: Housing Properties (Domestic). Lot 1: Lot 1 - MTC for Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Services for Non-Domestic Properties 2023-2025 at Various Locations within North Lanarkshire The work comprises:- . a) The removal of various types of asbestos materials from Non-Domestic Council Properties . b) Alterations such as cutting and forming holes in existing Asbestos materials which are not to be removed . c) Encapsulation of Asbestos materials which are not to be removed . d) Replacement of Asbestos materials which have been removed with suitable non Asbestos alternatives . e) The construction and subsequent removal of suitable enclosures around the above and other operations in accordance with the specification . f) The notification of the appropriate statutory enforcing authority regarding the removal or encapsulation of any asbestos . g) The provision of documentation to the Council's Asbestos Control Officers with regard to the removal and disposal of hazardous materials. . The contract involves a mixture of works, both licensed and unlicensed and notifiable and non- notifiable. It should be noted that NLC reserves the right to issue any work in respect of this contract to any other suitably qualified, experienced and competent contractor/partner organisation for any category of works. Lot 2: Lot 2 for Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Services for Domestic Properties 2023-2025 at Various Locations within North Lanarkshire The removal of various types of Asbestos materials from Council Domestic Properties. .
