HyperConverged Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Solution and Associated Equipment and Services for Galway City Council

Tender description

Galway City Council seeks a Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure solution comprising of an on-premises Hyper-Converged Infrastructure for production, DR and Backups and integrated Public/Private Cloud infrastructure for Auxiliary backup copy, manageable via a single management interface to replace its legacy systems described in the section below. Galway City Council believes a Hybrid Cloud model will enable High Application availability, ensure Data Loss Prevention, efficient Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, and enable the Contracting Authority to easily deploy Systems or Services according to business requirements. The Contracting Authority requires an efficient, cost-effective solution that is flexible, scalable and will cater for future growth and business needs. The Contracting Authority also requires an efficient and cost-effective solution for data backup, which includes virtual machines, application aware and file level backup, and for disaster recovery for all workloads. Cloud elements of the solution must be located in the European Union (EU). Data must be encrypted during transit and at rest in the DR and backup solution.
