Tender description

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services (NWSSP ProcS), hosted by Velindre NHS Trust, invites tenders on behalf of all NHS Bodies in Wales to appoint suitably qualified suppliers of Pathology Consumables, Equipment, and Instruments to an All Wales Framework Agreement. The duration of this Framework Agreement will be four years. This procurement is split into twenty-three Lots. Suppliers may submit offers for one or all Lots. Please refer to the ITT documentation found at https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml Lot 1: Biopsy Consumables Consumables for examining biopsies under a microscope Lot 2: Blades, Handles, and Knives Blades, knives, and handles used in Pathology Laboratories Lot 3: Blotting Paper Used to remove excess liquids before viewing Lot 4: Bottles, Dishes, and Jars Bottles, crystallising dishes, and jars used through Pathology Laboratories Lot 5: Cell Culture Consumables Consumables to aid the removal of cells and the subsequent growth in artificial environments before cultivation, including petri dishes and culture bottles Lot 6: Clinical Specimen Containers Urine collection and other specimen collection/container consumables Lot 7: Closures Caps and lids for sample cups, vials, specimen containers and test tubes Lot 8: Cuvettes Cuvette is a piece of laboratory equipment that is intended to hold samples for spectroscopic analysis Lot 9: Equipment and Instruments Small desktop equipment and instruments including, funnels, shakers, vortexes, reagent reservoirs and more Lot 10: Filtration Including filter paper, filter membranes and syringe filters for use in Pathology Laboratories Lot 11: Inoculation Loops and Needles Inoculation Loops & Needles used mainly by microbiologists to retrieve an inoculum from a culture of microorganisms. The loop is used in the cultivation of microbes on plates by transferring inoculum for streaking. Lot 12: Measuring Consumables Including beakers, cylinders, flasks, and weigh boats for use in Pathology Laboratories Lot 13: Microscopy Consumables Slides and coverslips for viewing under a microscope Lot 14: Mortuary Consumables Consumables used during post-mortems Lot 15: PH Indicator Paper PH Indicator Strips, sticks or rolls used to test fluids such as urine and saliva for use within the laboratory. Lot 16: Pipettes Pathology Laboratory tool to transport a measured volume of liquid, often as a media dispenser Lot 17: Pathology Safety Apparatus Chemical and Vapour safety apparatus Lot 18: Sealing Consumables Consumables for covering or sealing vessels such as flasks, cuvettes, tests, beakers, petri dishes and more Lot 19: Storage Storage solutions for slides, tubes, cassettes, tissue blocks and pipettes, including thermal storage Lot 20: Swabs An absorbent pad or piece of material for the collection of specimens Lot 21: Test Tubes, Plates, and Vials Used in chemical and biological experimentation and analysis Lot 22: Tissue Processing Consumables for the marking/identification/embedding and correct orientation of tissue samples Lot 23: Transport Consumables Transport consumables to UN3373 for transport of specimens
