AMPs 8 & 9 Capital Works

Tender description

Affinity Water is preparing to go to tender to have a supply chain to deliver the AMP8 and 9 capital works. The AMP8 and 9 regulatory period will run from April 2025 to March 2035. The estimated total value of AMP8 is £450,000,000 and a similar amount for AMP9. The let agreements will run alongside other existing agreements (that will be used to deliver the AMP8 and 9 programmes) which are outside the scope of works and services included in this PIN. Examples include the Smart Metering Programme. Lot 1: Infra (BGA) capital works Infra (BGA) capital works include activities such as: • Distribution mains renewals • Trunk main renewals • Network reinforcements • Under pressure connections/line stops • Water mains commissioning • Street works • Developer services activities - including new connections and water mains diversions • Network modelling and network data management • Network calming • MEICA for distribution assets • Retrofitting of advanced pressure management solutions. Additional information: A preliminary market consultation event is planned to take place on 17/10/2023. See VI.3 below. Lot 2: Non-infra (AGA) capital works Non-infra (AGA) capital works include activities such as: • Design, build and commissioning of water treatment processes - including civils, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) and process design. • Design, build and commissioning of booster pumping stations, design, build and commissioning of service reservoirs - including of similar structures such as clean water tanks. • Integration of assets - including automation/control of the strategic network.
