Invitation to Negotiate for the Provision of Certain Public Bus Services in Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area (North) and Bus Services in Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area (South)

Tender description

The National Transport Authority wishes to procure two public transport services contracts for the operation of public bus services in the Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area (ODMA), currently planned as routes in two geographical areas intended to meet demand for transport within the area: ODMA North and ODMA South. A total of 22 routes are proposed to be operated under the contract for ODMA North and 32 routes are proposed to be operated under the contract for ODMA South, including a number of routes due to be introduced as replacements to existing services as part of the BusConnects Network Redesign project, which is currently being implemented on a phased basis. These may include enhanced frequencies and service levels at weekends and off peak periods and increased geographical coverage. Lot 1: The existing Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area (ODMA) contract, within which a certain number of public bus services within the ODMA region, is due to expire in October 2025. The Authority intends to invite interested parties to tender for replacement contracts for the operation of services in the area. In order to improve operational efficiency it is intended to procure separate contracts for the operation of certain services based on geographical area, ODMA North and ODMA South. The competition will be conducted under the Restricted Procedure for public procurement.
