No. 54 Byng Crescent has experienced foundation movement to the rear elevation which in turn has also caused significant internal cracking to partition walls which in appearance appears to be the result of deflection of the supporting joists.\\\\r\\r\r \\\\r\\r\r The damage centred along the rear elevation of the main house is the result of moisture abstraction from the clay soil causing shrinkage of the clay below the foundations during the summer months with some recovery occurring during wetter winter months.\\\\r\\r\r \\\\r\\r\r Foundation remedial works and underpinning have been designed/specified to be carried out on the property.
