APPOINTMENT OF INTEGRATED SUPPLY TEAM FOR MAGHERA PUBLIC REALM SCHEME

Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of a contractor to undertake Maghera Public Realm Scheme. The scheme will include a number of streets within the town centre boundary as noted below. The proposed works will include high quality paving, kerbing in natural stone and carriageway resurfacing. Other works include earthworks, demolition, drainage and the supply and installation of street lighting, signage, street furniture and landscaping. The project will be delivered in a busy town centre environment with restricted streets and footpath widths. Extreme care will have to be taken at all stages of the works to minimise disruption to businesses and maintain the safe movement of pedestrians and vehicular traffic through the town centre by the appropriate use of temporary traffic and pedestrian management. The project seeks to improve the quality and usability of a number of important streets, structures and spaces to make the areas more attractive to town centre users and provide a unique sense of place. Maghera public realm is a large project across a busy town centre and multiple spaces with restricted streets and footpath widths. Streets to be either partially of fully upgraded as part of this project include; • TIRKANE ROAD • CHURCH STREET • GLEN ROAD • FAIRHILL JUNCTION WITH TOBERMORE ROAD • TOBERMORE ROAD (HALL STREET) • COLERAINE ROAD and CAR PARK • ST.
