New Primary School, Dargavel - Market Engagement Principal Contractor

Renfrewshire Council seek to undertake consultation with the market prior to tendering for a Principal Contractor for a new build primary school within Dargavel, Bishopton with an anticipated pupil role of 800 pupils. Renfrewshire Council intends to build a new primary school in Dargavel Village, Bishopton. The new primary school will have capacity for 800 pupils. It is proposed that the school should be a low energy building and the project will aim to achieve set energy and cost metrics. The Council is developing a procurement strategy and would like to conduct market consultation with contractors interested in the potential opportunity to tender for the Main Contractor appointment. Initial engagement will be via the attached questionnaire. If following completion and submission of the questionnaire potential bidders would like a one-to-one discussion with the project team, the Council would be happy to facilitate these via MS Teams. Feedback received via the questionnaire and future meetings may be used in the planning and conduct of the procurement procedure, provided that it does not have the effect of distorting competition and does not result in an infringement of the principles of non-discrimination and transparency. Note that feedback provided via the questionnaires and meetings will be formally recorded and relevant anonymised content will be shared to ensure compliance with the Principles of Procurement. Completed questionnaires should be returned to joanna.tannock@renfrewshire.gov.uk by close of business on Friday 11 August 2023. One-to-one meetings will be held via MS Teams week commencing Monday 14 August 2023. Subject to the number of organisations who express an interest in one-to-one discussions, slots may be allocated on a first come first served basis. Renfrewshire Council will not be responsible to meet the costs of any respondent’s involvement in this market consultation.
