Ferrybank Pumping Station Enabling Works Contract

Tender description

The Pumping Station Enabling Works Contract comprises works to facilitate the commissioning of a new Pumping Station. The new Pumping Station project is a separate, stand-alone project which is currently at Tender stage. Both this contract and the New Pumping Station contract are part of the Main Waterford Public Infrastructure Project - which involves approx. 1.2km roadworks, construction of a number of bridges, underpasses and retaining walls to facilitate access to an 8.3Ha SDZ development. The Enabling Works contract which is the subject of this tender comprise the following main elements of work: - Establishment of site compound, welfare offices and the like. - Breaking up of existing pavement over extents of works. - Deep excavations (5m) to proposed foul and service water pipes. - Construction of approx. 450m of foul and surface water drainage ans associated manholes and connections. - Reinstatement of existing surfaces and boundary treatments. - Piling works for future bridge structure (bridge to be constructed as part of separate contract). Piles are steel tubular piles with intermediate sheet pile wall. - Liaison with Bus Éireann, Irish Rail, Statutory Undertakers and other affected bodies. - Liaison with Pumping Station contractor on adjacent site. The Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the works.
