Tender description
Louth County Council is participating in the Varcities Project by providing and supporting improvements to the courtyard area of the County Library and County Museum Quarter in Dundalk, known as as a Pilot for the project. The project proposes interventions to improve a public space for use by all. It incorporates Nature-Based Solutions and Health and Well Being in the improvement of the outdoor space and the changes will be monitored by sensor technology as the project progresses. The project at Dundalk will involve the relocation of car parking from the Council staff car park at the Library and Museum Quarter and the construction of three Visionary Solutions as interventions to rejuvenate the outdoor space and make it more usable for all. The Visionary Solutions proposed are as follows: 1. Create a new Learning Pod in the space; (separate tender) 2. Develop a new Sensory Garden; 3. Provide sensors on bike stations.
