Innovations Childrens’ Centre – Repair of Suspended Timber Floor

The Borough Council of Calderdale invites you to submit a Quote for the repair of the suspended timber floors at the Innovations Childrens’ Centre, adjacent Deanfield Junior & Infant School, Halifax. The main aim and purpose of the works is to replace the rotten, undulated timber floor sections within the building and introduce new structure and finishes to areas affected. The project will also include elements of adaptations and introduction of sub-floor ventilation where possible. The project areas include rooms known as ‘Pre-School Room’, ‘Baby Room’ and ‘Toddler WC’. Where large sections of suspended flooring are in poor condition, it maybe more pragmatic to replaced whole sections of floor whilst works are on-site, rather than isolated repairs. As much of the existing fixtures and fittings are to be retained, so the works will include portions of temporary removal and reinstatement. All adjacent areas are to be fully protected from dust and debris during the works. An accompanied site visit is a condition of tender and dates / time slots will be made available via the Messaging Portal.
