Main contractor for the construction of approx 1100 sq.m. of new flat roof coverings, skylights, gutters including ancillary works

Tender description

The successful Candidate will be appointed as a Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for the duration of the works. The works are specified on the drawings and an overview of the works is listed below. The works shall include the following (non exhaustive list): • Remove and replace defective roof covering on single storey flat roofs as specified. • Undertake localised roof repairs. • Replace 11 no. coxdome rooflights with new raised pitched rooflights. • Install 8 No. new raised pitched rooflights in single storey flat roof with associated works including relocating electrical services. • Remove and rebuild brick parapets to single storey flat roof. • Remove existing asbestos slates and defective roof covering to steeple roof and replace with new covering. • Provide treatment and insulation of existing external steel support beams as specified. • Provide 8 no. mechanical vents in existing toilets as specified. • Provide new gutters and downpipes. • Construct 2 no. glass canopies as specified. • Remove all works materials and demolition waste from site and clean works area on completion. • Provide protective measures to prevent damage to all school property from dust, debris etc • Coordinate all works as required with the on-site with the Project Team. • Make good to all finishes internally and externally on completion. • Provide a maintenance and operations regime on completion (Safety File) • Provide all guarantees and certification as required on completion. • Provide fall arrest/edge protection for roof works • Provide safe access to and from roof area. • Make good all joints in roof where remedial work has been carried out • Act as PSCS for the duration of the works and comply with all current Health and Safety Standards and Regulations.
