Alteration and extension of existing building to form a new STEM, Council facilities and community spaces. (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Primary focus of the refurbishment is providing a dedicated STEM education Hub with additional office space for Argyll & Bute Council Digital Team and community facilities for shared/hybrid working. Due to the age and condition of the existing office building the refurbishment will include critical repair works as well as providing new internal layout suited to the teaching of STEM activities. Refurbishment of Council owned properties. An alteration and extension of the existing Hill Street building to form a STEM Hub, to provide a council education facility and community access to facilities (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). The primary focus of the refurbishment is providing a dedicated STEM education Hub with additional office space for the Argyll and Bute Council Digital Team and community facilities (including space for an immersive classroom, escape room and other technical equipment, such as flight simulators) for shared/hybrid working. Due to the age and condition of the existing office building, the refurbishment will include critical repair works as well as providing new internal layout suited to the teaching of STEM activities.
