SO1071 - Wilkins Terrace Footbridge Reinstatement

Tender description

Notification of Award of Contract for: The works will involve potential structural steel repairs, preparation to SA2 ½ standard of cleanliness to bright steel and application of a three/two coat paint system over the entire footbridge and associated access steel ramps and contractor designed / specified reinstatement of existing defective drainage, steeping access ramp nosing and new antislipe to the access ramp and main span. Remediation works will comprise : The steel components of both the superstructure (comprising the main traffic span and access ramp) and substructure pier (if feasible to be removed from site otherwise refurbished insitu), to be wholly removed and transported off site to a convenient location where the remediation works can be undertaken as per the scope of works.
