Tender description
As a large landowner, NI Water has a substantial business rates charge each year, payable to Land and Property Services (LPS). Periodically (circa every three to five years), LPS carries out a re-valuation of all business properties in Northern Ireland, essentially to bring rateable values back into line with current property values. LPS is currently doing a re-valuation, due to come into effect from 1st April 2023 i.e. the 2023 Revaluation (Reval23). NI Water has an obligation under its licence to be able to stand over any new and exogenous costs, and is keen to understand the workings of the increased charges.
