Watermain Network Upgrade Works

Tender description

• Install 2.25km of 90mm OD PE100 PE Pipe by open cut & fill and/or directional drilling, and /or pipe bursting of existing 50mm uPVC pipe • Install 4no. On-line hydrants • Install 1no. on-line Air Valves • Install 5no. Sluice Valves • Transfer 40no. service connection from the existing 50mm uPVC pipe onto the new 90mm OF PE100 pipe • Construction of 40no. New Service Boundary Boxes • Linkage onto existing 100mm uPVC pipe at Ballymakenny Road (Connection Point A) • Linkage onto existing 50mm uPVC pipe on west side of Railway Bridge (Connection Point B) • Linkage onto existing 50mm uPVC pipe on east side of Railway Bridge (Connection Point C) • Linkage onto existing 100mm uPVC pipe at Newtownstalaban Road (Connection Point ) The works shall also cover the following activities • Carrying out site investigation works, silt trenches/trial pits, to locate existing watermain Construct of hydrant and valve chambers c/w marker post for each new fitting • All road and verge reinstatement • All Traffic Management, Health & Safety and Waste Management obligations • Maintaining a water supply to all consumers during the works • Miscellaneous works ancillary to the Contract
