Tender description

RFT for Rising & Distribution Main Replacement Contact; Roger Robbins 1. Replace existing 100mm rising and distribution main from the old to new reservoir (refer to Main Layout attached). Distance on road 1850m. Excavate trench in carriageway and dispose of all excavated material off site. Supply & lay 2 no. 100mm HDPE water main pipes alongside original pipes on pea gravel bed and surround. Place underground water mains marker tape 300mm above crown of pipe. Backfill trench with clause 804 material & compact. Reinstate carriageway with 50mm of ware course macadam and seal joints with bitumen. Reconnect; 20 no. meter box connections on distribution main. 1 no. scour valve 1 no. bulk meter Distance on land 270m Excavate trench through field from public road to existing reservoir, side cast excavated material on site for backfilling. Supply & lay 2 no. 100mm HDPE water main pipes alongside original pipes on pea gravel bed and surround. Place marker above pipes. Reinstate land with grass seeds. 2. Supply & fit 120 no. meter boxes to existing connections at various locations on distribution network. Please include for the following: - Application for Road Opening Licence - Health & Safety Duties in Accordance with the Relevant Legislation. - Implementation & Maintenance of Traffic Management System for the duration of the works. - Insurance for the duration of the works. - Project Supervisor Construction Stage Duties for duration of the works. - Compliance with all Waste Management Requirements in accordance with waste management Act 1996 for the disposal of surplus material.
