Tender description
<p>The West of England Combined Authority have received funding from the Department for Transport (DfT) to trial several different transport innovations, including those relating to sustainable urban freight, as part of a Future Transport Zone (FTZ) covering Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire. The programme for urban freight will involve different waves of trials up to spring 2024, starting first with the use of e-cargo bikes to transport goods in Wave 1. More specifically, the first two trials seek to swap out the use of a vehicle (typically a van) for the use of e-cargo bikes in a campus setting and for use by a local authority department for a particular type of operation (‘the use case’).</p> Keywords: Cargo, Freight, Bike
