Tender description
The Contract is for the undertaking of maintenance work to existing peace walls located primarily in Belfast but also in Londonderry and Portadown. The following is a representation of the work which will be involved. a. Cyclical maintenance to hydraulic gates b. Response maintenance i. Repairs to hydraulic gates ii. Painting walls/fencing iii. Graffiti removal (either power-hosing brick block walls or painting over existing painted walls). iv. Repairs to walls and all types of fencing v. Repairing damage by vandalism etc. c. Possible changes to peace walls following community agreement i.e. i. Replacing solid gates with see-through gates, ii. Partial removal/reduction in height of fencing, iii. Changing type of fencing eg from gates to fencing, solid to mesh fencing. iv. Complete removal of structures. d. Emergency response and out of hours response to b and c above. The above paragraph is only a short form description of the Works. The Tenderer shall provide the Works in accordance with the Works Information (see Documents 3 of 5 – Works Information).
