Replacement of 52m x 32m Astroturf football pitch surface.

Tender description

The project is to take place on the grounds of Ardee St. Marys GFC in County Louth located on the South side of the town just off the N2. The project involves the replacement of the playing surface on the existing 52 metres x 32 metres football pitch to a more modern surface. The scope of the project is 1. Remove existing astroturf carpet and remove from site 2. Repair any damage to existing stone base in preparation for the installation of the new surface. a. Expect this to be minimal. There are zero indents / holes on the existing surface and the level uniformity across the whole pitch is excellent. 3. Prepare the base and install a new 60mm high 3G synthetic grass system with a Silica sand and SBR rubber infill that is both FIFA and GAA approved. Access will be provided throughout the renovation process for the everyday activities of the club to be carried out unimpeded. The work area will be cordoned off to allow the contractor park work vehicles and materials adjacent to the work area. The final details of this lies at the discretion of St Mary’s GFC committee and the contractor will have to pay due consideration towards having to safely and carefully traverse from the main road to the works adjacent to the clubhouse and playing fields. The contractor is obligated to provide a draft programme of works with tender submission for review. In submitting a Bona Fide Tender, the contractor takes responsibility to complete the project within the timeframe as submitted unless otherwise agreed with the client. The tendering contractor must provide evidence of public and employee insurance and provide clear evidence of their experience in carrying out projects of this nature.
