Replace Boundary Wall at University Hospital Galway - Acute Mental Health Unit

Tender description

The project consist of the following: Replacement of existing boundary wall with 4 m high plastered block wall within existing Service/Exercise Yard of occupied Adult Acute Mental Health Unit at UCHG. Provision of a secure building hoarding to the existing Service/Exercise Yard work zones and compound areas appropriate for use in a live Acute Hospital Campus environment. Reinstatement of all site finishes on completion. In particular the Contractor must note the following:- - The project is located in the heart of a fully operational AAMHU on a busy Acute Hospital Campus environment, with all areas adjoining the site, heavily utilised by the Maintenance Sheds/Offices and other hospital staff, visitors and othjer public circulation and activity. - The contract documents set out the detail / restrictions under which the Contractor must operate in order to maintain the existing AAMHU building and patient services safe, secure and operational at all times. - All waste materials to be taken and disposed of in a fully licensed dump facility in accordance with Galway City Council waste management requirements. - The contractor must comply with National Guidelines for the Prevention of Nosocomical Invasive Aspergillosis during Construction / Renovation Activities.
