Painting of Pits and Premises Framework RFT 18.2021

Tender description

Dublin Bus require the services of painting contractors to form a framework of suitable painting contractors, containing 2 Lots. Lot 1 will be in relation to the industrial painting of vehicle maintenance pits, pit walls, floors, workshop areas at Dublin Bus vehicle maintenance facilities. Lot 2 will be in relation to general painting of office areas and general areas at Dublin Bus facilities. Tenderers can apply for inclusion for one, or both, of the Lots. For Various Dublin Bus Premises locations Lot 1 (Industrial Painting) will be related to painting of workshop pits, walls and floors, metal surfaces in workshops such as ductwork etc. Lot 2 (General Painting) will be related to general painting of premises (e.g. office walls, doors, windows, sills, skirting etc) Tenderers wishing to apply for inclusion on both Frameworks shall be required to meet the requirements of each individual Framework. Tenderers can qualify for one or both of the Frameworks assuming the criteria for inclusion is met. Across both Lots, the intention is to progress multiple projects per year (generally 2-3). Each year mini-competitions will be run from the framework to paint vehicle inspection pits and/or general premises painting at a number of named locations. The framework will run for 5 years. Each project will be evaluated separately and awarded according to the Lot under which it is advertised. Pit painting ideally will take place during the summer months each year, when air temperatures are favourable for paint curing. If multiple jobs are awarded to a single contractor, the successful tenderer will be expected to have enough resources to work on up to 2 sites simultaneously, if required.
