Following the UK's exit from the EU advice on additional freedoms in relation to contract spend on goods, services and works contracts with a value below the applicable threshold has been received from Crown Commercial Services; allowing the reservation of a procurement by supplier location or the categorisation of a Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME)/Voluntary, community and Social Enterprise (VCSE). For background information please see Procurement Policy Note 11/20 For this procurement opportunity Lancaster City Council has taken the decision to reserve the contract to suppliers who are based or established and have substantive business operations (not by location of corporate ownership) within Lancashire or Cumbria.
