Tender description

This PIN Notice is to notify interested parties of a market engagement event for the retender of the above framework. Further details of the event date and how to register can be found in the Additional Information under Section VI of this notice. The Framework is primarily for civil engineering, highways and transportation infrastructure development related construction works. The Framework consists of four Lots, which are: • Lot 1 (Gen5-1): Works with a maximum value of £250,000 • Lot 2 (Gen5-2): Works with a maximum value of £5,000,000 • Lot 3 (Gen5-3): Works with a value between £3,000,000 and £20,000,000 • Lot 4 (Gen5-4): Works with a value between £15,000,000 and £150,000,000 The Framework will be available to Participating Authorities, who can call-off from the Framework and will manage the individual call-off contracts. The Framework Agreement will be managed by Hampshire County Council through a dedicated team for day-to-day operations to ensure consistency and facilitate the sharing of best practice. Lot 1: Lot 1 (Gen5-1): Works with a maximum value of £250,000 Covering projects for works of a straightforward nature and may typically include the following elements: carriageway and footway paving, junction improvements, traffic calming, small scale carriageway surfacing, cycleways, earthworks, drainage, traffic signs, road markings, car park works, fencing, landscaping, CCTV surveys, trial holes, works to rights of way, traffic management and traffic management design, winter maintenance support, small-scale retaining walls and accommodation works, adoptive works for new developments, site clearance, concrete works, school playground works, refurbishments and reconstructions, minor external works to public sector property, works for traffic signals and minor civil engineering and groundworks. Lot 2: Lot 2 (Gen5-2): Works with a maximum value of £5,000,000 Covering civil engineering, transportation and infrastructure development related construction work packages. Such as early contractor involvement, civil engineering works, retaining walls and culverts, work on new/reconstructed/replacement highway structures, footway maintenance and improvement work, carriageway construction, carriageway surfacing, infrastructure installation, kerbing and paving installation, drainage and ducting installation, installation of traffic signs, installation of street furniture, including street lighting and traffic signal equipment, installation of vehicle restraint systems, soft landscaping and vegetation clearance, earthworks and embankment stabilisation, car park reconstruction and surfacing, works to access roads and other external works to public sector education and research property, traffic management and traffic management design, early contractor involvement, contractor design, bridge painting, building works associated with civil engineering projects, rail infrastructure works, airport works, sea defence and coastal works, river and canal works, flood defence works and construction of waste service facilities. Lot 3: Lot 3 (Gen5-3): Works with a value between £3,000,000 and £20,000,000 Covering civil engineering, transportation and infrastructure development related construction work packages. Such as, early contractor involvement including design and build, civil engineering works, retaining walls and culverts, work on new/reconstructed/replacement highway structures, footway maintenance and improvement work, carriageway construction, carriageway surfacing, infrastructure installation, kerbing and paving installation, drainage and ducting installation, installation of traffic signs, installation of street furniture, including street lighting and traffic signal equipment, installation of vehicle restraint systems, soft landscaping and vegetation clearance, earthworks and embankment stabilisation, car park reconstruction and surfacing, works to access roads and other external works to public sector education and research property, traffic management and traffic management design, bridge painting, building works associated with civil engineering projects, rail infrastructure works, airport works, sea defence and coastal works, river and canal works, flood defence works and construction of waste service facilities. Lot 4: Lot 4 (Gen5-4): Works with a value between £15,000,000 and £150,000,000 Covering civil engineering, transportation and infrastructure development related construction work packages. Such as, early contractor involvement including design and build, large scale civil engineering works, retaining walls and culverts, work on new/reconstructed/replacement highway structures, footway maintenance and improvement work, carriageway construction, carriageway surfacing, major development infrastructure installation, kerbing and paving installation, drainage and ducting installation, installation of traffic signs, installation of street furniture, including street lighting and traffic signal equipment, installation of vehicle restraint systems, soft landscaping and vegetation clearance, earthworks and embankment stabilisation, car park reconstruction and surfacing, works to access roads and other external works to public sector education and research property, traffic management and traffic management design, bridge painting, building works associated with civil engineering projects, rail infrastructure works, airport works, sea defence and coastal works, river and canal works, flood defence works and construction of waste service facilities.
