Retrofit Kindergarten under Pobal's Building Block Improvement Grant - to include upgrades to heating, windows & doors, roof, insulation, flooring & misc

We are a community-run not-for-profit kindergarten based in Ballydehob & have applied for Pobal's Building Blocks Improvement Grant funding - strand B, which is min 35,000 & max 75,000 including VAT. The bulk of the works would need to be completed during school break in Summer 2023 with an option to start during the Easter holidays & complete over Halloween mid-term. We have gotten a surveyor's report & would like to tackle as many of the points he has identified as possible while staying within budget: - Remove old storage heater & fit 4 smart electric radiators/heaters with guards (3 in main room & 1 in annex). - Replace windows & external doors with double glazed units (U value 1.2) & PVC sills. Include trickle vents. - Fit new gutters & downpipes & connect to gullies/soakaways. - Replace attic insulation, which appears to be holding some moisture, with 300mm of metac or similar. - Replace single skin cladding on roof with 80mm insulated panels (KS1000RW or similar). This to include all flashings, seals, & roof/attic ventilation. - Replace timber cladding & 30mm aeroboard from walls with 100mm (polyiso) solid Kingspan (thermowall TW50 or similar) type wall insulation, breather membrane, batten & fix new timber cladding over. - Remove some sections of rising blockwork under floor level to allow for underfloor ventilation (annex.) Remove timber floor & replace rotten timbers. Extend wall cladding below floor level to protect floor timbers. Ensure adequate underfloor vents. - Fit 3mm foil underlay on floors & laminate timber flooring over – main room & annex. - Construct new lobby to separate toilet area from main room consisting of internal partition (slabbed & skimmed both sides) & door (Include for lighting/switching of this). - Fit extractor fans in toilet area – minimum 2 - Fit separate/double sink in kitchenette. - Fix wiring for indoor emergency exit lights.
