Roofing Works 2022 To Sports Hall And Fitness Suite At Holyhead Leisure Centre.

Tender description

Sports Hall: Upgrading the existing flat roof over part of the Sports Hall, including localised repairs to the existing asphalt roof covering. Modifying the existing perimeter/edge details, installation of vapour control layers to localised areas and modified edge details, preparation of all surface prior to bonding insulation to the prepared surfaces and application of a liquid applied roofing system with a 20 year guarantee. Replacement of the existing roof water goods with new powder coated aluminium. New waterproof roof covering to overlap the existing polyurethane roof covering to other parts of the Sports Hall. Removal of the existing ventilation fans and infilling of apertures. Fitness Suite: Removal and disposal of the existing epdm roof covering and insulation. Localised repairs to the underlying asphalt roof deck, modification of perimeter details, preparation of all surfaces and installation of vapour control layers to localised repaired areas and modified details. Installation of insulation, bonded to the prepared surfaces and application of a liquid applied roofing system with a 20 year guarantee. Replacement of the existing roof water hoppers and downpipes with new powder coated aluminium. Increasing the height of the existing upstands to the existing ventilation fans and re-fitting in place. All works to the Sports Hall and Fitness Suite are to be undertaken whilst the Leisure Centre will be in full use. The Contractor will have to liaise with the Duty Managers at the Centre to close areas as and when required when the existing roof mounted ventilation fans are being removed.
