Tender description

The Project is located at two sites. Works on site 1 on the N21 at Tooreenmore, Knocknagoshel will involve the import and placement of fill material to regrade an existing fill slope. Excavation of an interceptor drain at the foot of the slope will also be required. Site 2 is located on the N67 at Tarbert Pier, this project involves the removal of an existing Vehicle Restraint System and replacement with a containment kerb and pedestrian railing arrangement. Improved access to existing footpaths and drainage works are also proposed. Lot 216807: Network Safety Improvements Contract 1 2021 The works at site 1 involve re-profiling of an existing sideslope within a recently widened road boundary through importation, placement and compaction of fill material to proposed levels to address a road safety issue. The works at site 2 involve the removal of an existing timber clad steel vehicle restraint system and replacement with a bespoke arrangement, comprising of a containment kerb and a steel pedestrian guardrail anchored to a reinforced concrete foundation and stub wall.
