Parnell Square Project Demolition Contract (1)

Tender description

This contract has been awarded to Barnmore Demolition. Amharclann Choláiste Mhuire, 26 Parnell Square North, Dublin Demolition of the existing 20th century building. The demolition site is located to the back of a Georgian terrace on Parnell Square North adjoining the Hugh Lane Gallery. The Theatre is a two storey Theatre hexagonal plan constructed in 1963 as part of an Irish language school located on 23-27 Parnell Square north. Theatre Areas c. 1,165 sqm (not including the open area at ground level which has a concrete base.) It is a concrete column and beam construction with infill yellow brick panels and concrete floors and stairs. There is an access walkway in concrete and brick from the original houses. The building height is in in excess of 9.9 meters. The estimated total value of Works Requirements is in the region of €0.5m to €0.7m (ex. VAT).
