Heroic Foods Limited wishes to upgrade their seasoning equipment to a next-generation seasoning system that will incorporate the following: Lot 1: Seasoning System • A complete seasoning system for an in-line snack manufacturing line, with pre-seasoned throughput of between 40kg per hour and 100kg per hour with capability • of applying a powdered seasoning and oil spray to the pre-seasoned snacks with application rates of 2% to 15% by weight for both oil and seasoning powder. • System must have a capability of monitoring the flow of unseasoned product and adjust application rates accordingly, for variations in pre-seasoned product throughput. • System must include an elevator conveyor to feed tumble drum, with small hopper on-in feed for product handover from 600mm wide feed belt • System to spray apply oil from 2 litre/hour to 15litres/hr with an accuracy of greater than 2% • Oil must be heated and controlled at 40 degrees Celsius • Powder dispensing system with Loss-in-Weight control, powder agitation, and variable application between 2kg/hr to 25kg/hr • Vibratory ‘scarf’ to evenly distribute the powder seasoning into the tumble drum. • Tumble drum measuring approx. 1,500mm long x 750mm diameter with flights suitable for dry powder and oil application, angle should be adjustable from 2-6 degrees • All necessary framework and wiring to give a fully integrated system • All must be constructed in stainless • All materials must be certified as safe for food contact. Lot 2: Belt System • Two reversable belts measuring 1,700mm long x 600mm wide and with adjustable height from 400mm to 1,000mm and variable speed setting • All materials must be certified as safe for food contact.
