Wirksworth Junior School is a listed widows building that requires urgent attention to rectify issues with the main hall floor. In March 2022 the Department for Education undertook a building condition survey and highlighted that the hall floor was at life expired and at risk of imminent failure. Due to the building's layout, the only feasible opportunity to undertake repair works is during the six week summer holidays, so we are in need of appointing a reliable and well regarded contractor that is available within this time frame to undertake the works - of which we have sourced one, NRA, who have done many projects to an extremely high standard for the Authority in the past.
