T22-107CAP Vaughan's Holm Environmental Improvements Contractors PQQ Application

Tender description

Derry City and Strabane District Council seeks to appoint a suitably qualified contractor for the undertaking of access and environmental improvement works within Vaughan’s Holm, Newtownstewart, County Tyrone. The works primarily comprise the renovation of the existing concrete footpath (within the River Strule flood plain) and ancillary outdoor furniture/signage but is not exclusive to, the following interventions: Alteration works to existing carpark, Replacement of existing street furniture and associated hard-standing areas, Renovation of existing concrete footpaths and construction of additional matching paths (varying widths), Minor earthworks such as subsoil excavation/removal, importation/laying of topsoil, Minor alteration works to existing drainage systems/water-courses and new drainage networks, Provision of replacement and new street furniture (incl. signage), Repair of existing fencing and provision of new fencing (incl. gates), Landscaping works (grass/wildflower seeding, tree planting, etc.) with 12 months’ maintenance and Ancillary/minor civil engineering works. In addition to liaising with the ICT and Client, the Contractor will also be expected to liaise with the various Local Community Groups and Sport Clubs to coordinate the works around the facilities’ opening times; as well as ensure that access arrangements are developed that effectively maintain the security of the site, along with considering the health, safety and well-being of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s employees and the users of the facilities in question.
