Derrynoyd and Drumcairne Forest(s) – Refurbishment Upgrades

The Contract is for the provision of environmental and regeneration works part funded by DEARA and MUDC at 2 separate locations Derrynoyd Forest and Drumcairne Forest The project(s) and a general description of the works are as listed below; Project 1 - Derrynoyd Forest is situated on the Derrynoyd Road, Townland of Derrynoyd BT45 7DW. MUDC have a License agreement in place with FSNI re the site. Proposals are to develop the site: • Create an extension to increase carpark capacity • Trail Path upgrades including resurfacing and drainage as required on existing walking trails • Provision of new Bench seating bike racks and picnic tables, ( standard street furniture ) • Signage Provision – Way-marking, Signage, Interpretation, visitor monitoring Please note that the described works above may be subject to change. Project 2 - Drumcairn Forest is situated on the Ballygittle Road, Townland of Drumgormal, BT71 5JT. MUDC have a License agreement in place with FSNI re the site.
