School Transport Bus Passes

Tender description

The Children’s Services Transport Team is responsible for providing a home-to-school transport service for Pupils and Students who live in Torbay who are aged between 4 and 19 and who are entitled to help to get to school or college. The Authority currently has a contract for the provision of bus passes which enables them to travel on the existing transport network when using their services. The home-to-school bus transport provision will be across the whole of Torbay and specific to Brixham College to cover: · travel on all term days · unlimited travel options · frequent timetables (to allow for arriving at the start of the school day and to allow for after-school clubs) · acceptable journey lengths as recommended by the Department for Education · accessible pickup and drop-off points close to home and school (within 1 mile). Lot 1: School Transport and Bus Passes Torbay To provide school-to-home transport and bus passes which will cover the whole of Torbay and provide for: · travel on all term days · unlimited travel options · frequent timetables (to allow for arriving at the start of the school day and to allow for after-school clubs) · acceptable journey lengths as recommended by the Department for Education · accessible pickup and drop-off points close to home and school (within 1 mile). Lot 2: School Transport and Bus Passes Brixham College To provide school-to-home transport and bus passes specifically for Brixham College and provide for: · travel on all term days · unlimited travel options · frequent timetables (to allow for arriving at the start of the school day and to allow for after-school clubs) · acceptable journey lengths as recommended by the Department for Education · accessible pickup and drop-off points close to home and school (within 1 mile).
