ANDBC Provision of Public Realm Improvement Works in Portaferry, County Down.

Tender description

The project is for the provision of public realm improvement works in the town of Portaferry, County Down, Northern Ireland. The current streetscape has not had investment in over 20 years and is hazardous with regard to uneven pavement surfaces, lack of tactile paving at crossing points, narrow footpaths and poor lighting throughout. Public Realm improvement works will include the following streets: Market Square and surrounding streets. Portaferry has a historical road layout with narrow roads and footways within the town centre core. The project involves the provision of high-quality stone kerbs and paving, street tree planting, herbaceous planting and supply and installation of street furniture, signage, street lighting, and installation of new puffin crossings. A pre-qualification process is being undertaken to provide the Council with sufficient information to allow Contractors to be selected for the Tender Stage.
